ChessMotive Reddit App Privacy Policy

Effective: August 26, 2026

This policy applies only to the ChessMotive Training application on Reddit and explains its limited data flow.

Solving data

Candidate moves, shortlists, final moves, evaluations, and board annotations remain in local App state and are not sent to Firebase or saved to a ChessMotive account.

Position imports

Only a verified-publisher creation or refresh sends a position ID, schema version, and requested modes from the Devvit server to the protected ChessMotive Firebase endpoint.

Storage and deletion

Position content is cached in installation-scoped Devvit Redis to serve the Reddit post. Related cached content is removed when Reddit reports that the post has been deleted.
